In the fast moving world of Tech, Bill Mew is both a world class influencer and a top notch expert in cloud strategy for enterprises and providers alike. Still, what impresses me the most is that he is an action oriented strategic thinker…who gets things done fast.
Case in point: Bill’s terrific help in our getting crowd-funded the new “privacy enforcement” NGO of my friend Max Schrems called NOYB (None Of Your Business). Midway through the two month period, money was coming in too slowly. I asked Bill to help, he talked it over with Max to define the strategy, and then swung into action immediately. First a twitter storm of over one million tweets (leveraging RT’s from his personal network). Then he lined up interviews for Max with big influential Tech press, not to mention an Internet TV interview that he conducted with Max that we could leverage again and again.
Result: not only was the first funding goal (250K euros) reached, but it was exceeded (300K) by the deadline and Max is now getting NOYB going. This will be to the benefit of everyone in Europe who need support enforcing their privacy rights!
Yes, he’s a strategist, but he gets things done!
